Her life was hardly the stuff of fairy tales… until the fairy tales came to kill her.
For Harper O'Neill, life has settled into a routine: wake up, care for a mother still shattered by her father's murder, steal whatever time she can with her best friend Emilio before the day grinds her down again.
When clients from her mental health receptionist job start vanishing, Harper goes looking.
What she finds in Portland's forgotten tent camps stops her cold. Teenagers with black pools for eyes and river water dripping from their clothes, pressing vials of an iridescent drug into eager hands. The homeless who accept the drug called Dust follow the boys into the river and never return.
These dark Fae are minions of Badb Catha, a goddess driven mad by visions of humanity destroying the earth. She made a sacred vow thousands of years ago to save the world…
From us.
Using Dust to enslave humans, Badb has been building her forces and completing a gateway between earth and the Underworld that will unleash a Fae invasion.
Badb needs one final thing: the stolen magic of her own sister. The sister Badb murdered. It’s hidden in an ancient Irish bloodline. A bloodline that ends with one exhausted woman who has spent her whole life protecting people no one else would fight for.
Badb already murdered Harper’s father to reclaim that magic.
Harper’s instincts scream run. Running would keep the magic out of the goddess's hands. Running could save billions. But the Fae have taken her best friend, and the woman who could never stop saving people refuses to start now.
Even if it risks humanity’s doom.
Hunted by Fae is the first book in the Last Battle of Moytura series, gripping urban fantasy rooted in authentic Irish mythology. For readers who want their Fae genuinely monstrous, their stakes devastatingly real, and their heroines forged from loss rather than chosen by destiny.

I received a complimentary copy of the book and am giving my honest review. The book feels like a huge build up to what will probably be the finale in the next book. There is a lot going on at once with different perspectives which is nice as it gives a full picture of the story.
Loved it!
Characters from Celtic legends come to life in the story about Harper O'Neill, her friends, and her enemies. The book sucked me right in and I read it in one go, spending my entire day wanting to know what would happen next. Closed the Kindle at 1:00 in the morning. I haven't done that for a long time.Harper is a great heroine, different from many others I've encountered in Fantasy tales. She had prepared herself for defense, was not naive, yet found herself lacking in the final element she needed: control of her temper--something I can really relate to. The stakes build rapidly as her best friend disappears and her mother is attacked. The story is full of Fae characters, some of which I actually looked up to see what they were like in the legends. Molly portrayed them accurately and made them real to me.It is fast paced with lots of action and emotion. A warning: it ends on a cliff-hanger and you have to go on to the second book to find out what happens to her. I've already bought the second and will start it tomorrow. (Got to sleep tonight so I don't dare start now.)
Mystery. Magic. Fae and other magical beings. If this is your go to’s for books then must read this Cant wait for the rest
I was so sorry when this ended. I can't wait for the sequel. I don't usually read fae (which I ignorantly called fairy) or Celtic mythology books. But I do read fantasy and found this one captivating. I found it easy to relate to the characters.I read the prequel first and honestly found it hard to get into. Luckily, it is a Kindle book so I could get a quick definition for mythological terms. When I re-read the prequel after this one, everything fell into place. It provides good context for this modern tale.
