A Very Odd Fae Species

Because her wings looked just like green leaves, you almost missed the small Fae perched in the tree overhead. Standing on your tiptoes, you start say hello, but she emits a high pitched squeal and chatters at you in simple sentences.

The tiny Fae looks similar to the flocks of similar beings tittering high in the treetops in the bar and entertainment areas of the Lodge. This one, though is telling you off in broken, simple sentences. She appears less delicate, and more unkempt.

As these thoughts unfold, fine, gleaming dust drifts down, shedding from the Fae's body. Pixie dust, you think.  Your next thoughts are far less rational, because the instant the dust touches your skin, you begin to hallucinate.

Castles. Dragons. A grand ball filled with whirling, beautiful Fae.  All of it takes the place of the room you were just in. With the last shred of your rationality, you flee into the next room.

The effects fade quickly. As the tiny winged pixies titter and chatter above in the thick leaves, you quint, searching for any of the strange dust falling from them, but there is none. Perhaps the primitive-looking pixie is a different species.
