Explore Fogradh Lodge for Answers

You tiptoe into the Lodge behind the wisps of smoke that are all you can see of Pangur Ban.  While he curls up into the boughs of a tree to watch the bustling bar area, you slip through a set of double doors leading to a nearly deserted library.

On your way into the library, a tall figure draped in a shadowy cloak pulls their hood over their face and hurries past you. At the threshold, the figure pauses and you feel the electric jolt of their gaze slide over you.

You are supposed to be invisible.  Are there Fae who can see beyond Pangur Ban's invisibility enchantment?

Your heart pounds in your chest as you scan the room and you silently pray you are alone.

(Explore the upstairs library by clicking on anything that seems slightly out of place. If you find something, a new window will open for you to explore it. When you are finished exploring a lead, either close that window and return to this page, or click the link to this page at the bottom.

There are 7 total things hidden in the library.)

Well, that was certainly a harrowing experience!  You have much to share with Pangur Ban when you meet with him again in a couple of days for more chapters. Those pages from the Malleus Tenebrarum Sidhe are going to be a lifesaver. These Fae are dangerous!

P.S. Hi again!

As a kid I loved to walk in the woods or in a new town on vacation and imagine some invisible, vibrant world lay just beyond that curious door or in the hollow of a stately tree.

Some things never change.  It's why I love fantasy set in modern "real" world settings.

Portland, Oregon is my absolute favorite city on earth, and it brims with magical possibilities. The fact that a gigantic, wild park that's 8 miles long exists right in the city is fuel for the literary imagination.

Deep inside Forest Park is a decaying structure known as the Witch's Castle. It's the real world location for Fògradh Lodge. The Witch's Castle is the entrance to the literal underground Lodge that sprawls for over a square mile beneath the City of Portland.

I turned this photo I took the last time I hiked Forest Park into the illustration for Fògradh Lodge in The Last Battle of Moytura series (with the help of Photoshop, Procreate, and a tad of gen AI).
