Here we have a rejected My Little Pony design.  Hasbro made seahorses, unicorns, and Pegasi. But they lost their nerve and stopped short at dealing into the terrifying Celtic equine spirits. 

Kelpies often appear to humans as horses, always wet, with riverbed in their manes and tails.  Just look at him.  He's so cute.  Don't you just want to pet him, or comb his silky tail with a tiny plastic comb?
