I grew up along the Idaho-Oregon border in a teeny, tiny town called Weiser, ID. It absolutely does not rhyme with "wiser". Instead, it sounds exactly the same as "wheezer", but way less cool than the band (sorry, hometown). Summers spent on trips to the Oregon coast cultivated a love of Portland and the Pacific Northwest wilderness and meant I just had to set my first book series there.
The Last Battle of Moytura urban fantasy series weaves together my obsession with Celtic myth, a long career as an addictions and mental health therapist, and a belief that we need to rethink who our heroes are if we want to preserve our world.
The series is a continuation of Celtic mythology into the present day and straddles the line between urban fantasy and epic fantasy...with a splash of horror for good measure. After all, every Fae should be terrifying...
